What was it like to be a Fresher at UCL in 1960? In this archival video from the UCL Film & TV Society, we first meet Charlie, UCL's Top Hat Beadle (head of security) at the time. The student presenter then interviews incoming Freshers on their initial impressions of UCL. While the student body and campus have changed much since 1960, some student opinions never do.
UCL is consistently ranked as one of the world's very best universities. As a multi-faculty, research-intensive university in central London, our research helps tackle global challenges and feeds directly into outstanding degree programmes. Visit us at www.ucl.ac.uk
