Our poor out of stater decides to return to Utah

This morning the Salt Lake Tribune reported that the DABC is no longer enforcing this interpretation of the law. This was not the case in December and January when at least 9 restaurants were cited for serving customers before ordering food. A thank you goes out to the SLT and the television stations that reported on what amounted to a Barney Fife mentality. As I have said in the past, it is not about laws to protect us from drunk drivers or keeping alcohol from underage drinkers, it is asinine enforcement of stupid quirks in the law where you cannot walk from one side of the room to another with a beer, or buy chilled wine in the liquor store or go stand in the bar to have a drink while waiting for your table (try that one your next time out at a restaurant) that make this state look like naïve idiots.
