Cornish pasties have this big 'D-shaped' crust along the curved edge. It's a lot of pastry to get through, but I had the idea of making it as a stuffed crust, as is done with some pizzas. This is not a Cornish pasty - instead of the cooked in the pasty meat and vegetables, my minced beef pasty has a meaty sauce in gravy, topped with cheese. The pasty case is hot water pastry, and the curved crust is stuffed with mozzarella. So this is not, in any way, to be mistaken for or described as a Cornish pasty. It's filled with minced beef in gravy. With cheese. The crust is stuffed. With cheese. It's delicious. With cheese.
