This is the first in my "Miscast" series!
The character: Bea Asher, a widow with a little junk shop, who has been going out dancing at the Stardust Ballroom every night to cope with her husband's death.
The Situation: Bea's new boyfriend, Al, has just told her that he's married and while he doesn't love his wife, he has no plans of divorcing her.
I've always loved this song, but never gotten the chance to sing it, so you guys can be my audience. It's from the musical Ballroom starring the amazing Dorothy Loudon. With all that's been going on in North Carolina right now with the whole gay marriage nonsense, I think this is a very topical song. Don't let anyone ever tell you that your love is something to be ashamed of. Now, I'll get off my soapbox and sing!
Hope you guys enjoy! Any bit of constructive feedback helps. Don't forget to subscribe if you like this video! :)
