Fiddler Ed Pearlman performs 6 traditional Scottish tunes. The tunes are:
1) Niel Gow's Lament for James Moray of Abercarnie
2) Hector the Hero (J.S. Skinner) @1:26
3) Lady Doune (Nathaniel Gow) @ 2:55
4) Jack Daniels Reel (John Morris Rankin) @ 4:06
5) Muir o'Gellen (Peter Milne) @ 5:30
6) Gad Fhaicinn (Ed Pearlman) @ 6:50

NOTES: This session was unscripted, set up after Ed (founder of the Highland Soles performing group) asked me to produce a video representative of Scottish music that he likes to play. Ed picked the six tunes after I set up the cameras, and then gave me some brief, extemporaneous background information relating to each selection. I just handed him the microphone and said, "talk." Everything in here is a single take (I think we re-did one) ... and we didn't stop even when Fiona offered her canine accompaniment from an adjoining room. (She was, after all, in tune).
