Title comes from the game Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. I guess I used it to reference Devil May Cry in a way.
Now, Baraka was originally the last of bigjohn's stuff to fight, but then he made a "major update" to Acid around the time I fought Alakron. Acid went to Aice Evil bad, what the fuck. Everything I listed in #752 is wrong, but now he has LESS cooldown/startup, worse hitboxes, more projectiles, AI that spams moves at will, FX that BEG for transparencies, bad scaling, misplaced sounds, and worse damage. This is not an update, it's a "downdate". Even worse, was when he was presented with feedback, bigjohn complained that he didn't know how, refused to read the mugen docs or take anyone's advice, then quit and said "Fix them yourself" later. That's not how to fucking do it. Man up and fix this shit.
Now, I'm not a fan of the circumstances that got this Dante released, honestly. It's fun, yeah, but I'd rather have waited for when Bugya was ready. It's also difficult to give feedback as this is the 50% version, where Bugya's at least at 75%. Rising Dragon (QCFx2+X) is a level 3 with no power cost. Damage is a little high. There's odd boot/armband artifacts at times. Mashing X/Y shouldn't do chip damage since you can continue it infinitely. I think his hyper portrait is cropped. According to aokmaniac13, first hit of Rising Sword to Helm Breaker to anything, which lets you do some rather zany combos if you can pull them off. CLSNs feel somewhat off. There is Quicksilver as well, which slows down time and inverts the screen, but I forgot to use it. I'll admit, it's nice to be able to throw out another one of alexlexus' shitpiles (don't even know why I had it). It's nice, despite why it was released.
