Watching self-opinionated christians get 'feelings' when their faith is questioned by a smart person is a past time that never get's old.

Are any of you sat alone watching this? It's nice and quiet and you're just watching YouTube clips? Well, just stop for a second and think to yourself. Do you end up having a conversation with yourself in your head? Can you ask yourself questions? Yes, everybody can, because that's how the human brain works. So when somebody says "I talk to god" you know that they're really just talking to themselves in their own head. If you sit in a quiet room, pray and ask 'god' in your head "How can I do well in life?" etc. Your brain will talk back to you, and if you really convince yourself of this, it could really seem like somebody else is answering you. I think Bill Maher is completely right, and I love that he doesn't hold back, because he shouldn't. There is absolutely no evidence for god (a book isn't evidence) If we buried the harry potter books and they dug them up in 1000 years would they believe it? I hope not! But I'm not convinced they wouldn't. Religion is really made for people who aren't savvy enough to figure things out about the world around them. That's no offence to them, some people lack the interest and are usually more interested in materialistic things, everything below the horizon. But the people who do have that interest will learn things about how our planet works, will learn logic and will learn things that have disproven any sort of mythical claim the bible has ever put forwards. It's painful for me to hear people talk about some sort of personal bond they have with 'god' - in this day and age we still believe these stories and it's absurd, I just can't get my head around it. A religious person would probably answer that with "you just don't understand because you've not had that connection with god" - to which I would say that they just haven't had that connection with reality, with understanding of how our planet works. Anyways, hope you didn't get bored by the essay - I tend to rant.

When people normally hear voices we call them crazy When you claim the voices in your head are from God than nobody says anything.
