Interesting how the eggs have a white cap when they were first laid, but lose that by the second day. As the eggs develop, you can see the embryos get darker and darker until they finally hatch out. The female assists in the hatching process.
Eggs hatched in about 3 days.
BTW, if you look closely you can see a big scar on the female's left side. She spent some time in the jaws of a female pike cichlid (cf lugubris "Manchada" - see previous vid), but she eventually escaped, and has recovered nicely.
