The young, fresh designers exhibiting during November 2012's Tel Aviv Fashion Week catch the fancy of buyers and trend spotters worldwide.
Ofir Lev founded Tel Aviv Fashion Week three years ago in order to promote Israeli designers worldwide. Buyers and fashion journalists came from many countries this year to see what fresh new fashions are coming out of the city's design houses.
"I think that Tel Aviv Fashion Week is speaking in one language, and the language is fashion," Lev says here. "This international language can take us above all barriers."
Bill Shapiro of Moschino in Italy says Tel Aviv was the right place for him to be. "I think there's an energy that's coming from Israel and that energy ... is perfect for us. It really reflects the love and passion that we have in the work we do and we can feel the love and passion from the people here."
