The female Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), with the dark necklace, had been calling to the male for quite awhile when he finally showed up to mate. Notice how he curls his razor sharp talons into a ball to keep from harming his mate. They engaged in copulation activity several times during my observation. You will see in this video that the male also approaches her and flies by once and after another approach, lands on the branch next to her before returning the last time for a full copulation.
