As a contrast to his work in this idyllic and peaceful student city, Christiaan also documents the stories of witnesses in civil conflicts in the Ukraine and Syria. In his talk he will tell us the story of an extraordinary journey that started at the Oosterport in Groningen.

Christiaan is a student of International Relations at the University of Groningen.You might also know him for his photoblog project Humans of Groningen featuring street portraits and interviews collected in Groningen. As a contrast to his work in this idyllic and peaceful student city, Christiaan also documents the stories of witnesses in civil conflicts in the Ukraine and Syria.
