In 2011, Junior Wisconsin RB Montee Ball had one of the most spectacular individual seasons in college football history. He amassed 2014 total yards of offense and 38 touchdowns. He excelled against top flight defenses, racking up an average of over 150 yards and 3 touchdowns on 6 teams defensively ranked in the top 40. At the conclusion of the regular season, he led the country in rushing yards (1759) and was 1 touchdown shy of tying Barry Sanders 1988 single season touchdown record. Ball was a finalist for the Doak Walker and Heisman Trophy awards, while also earning All Big Ten and All American honors.

His success was due not only to his own talents, but to those around him. Wisconsin linemen yet again, were dominant up front. Senior G Kevin Zeitler and Junior C Peter Konz received All Big Ten and All American honors, while Senior T Josh Oglesby earned All Big Ten recognition.

This video is dedicated to Montee for having such a spectacular season.
