Doubt we'll receive anymore help. the 5th Fleet is stuck in Regulus, the 8th desperately defending Vega, and a large force is being gathered in our currently most important system Beta Aquilae. Many systems are under massive threat, and will fall if we fail to hold back the Shivans long enough at the Antares - Vasuda jump node. It's once more a fight for our survival.."
A little (big!) tease for my upcoming second massive battle mission. Has been in development for many months in total, and it getting closer and closer to being done. I couldn't resist to record one of the many test runs I enjoy doing daily and fixing the problems I see.
I definitely hope that the text will be readable, did my best to ensure that. Youtube may muck it up though, we'll see. Hope you'll enjoy!

I see many new changes! How do I get them?
You can download Freespace Open, also called the Source Code Project files, at FSOInstaller.com . There's a big community of Freespace fans over at Hard-light.net , now the biggest community. Many updates and mods are still being released!
I've taken the liberty to use several assets of the amazing Blue Planet mod for Freespace 2. As it's used for a standalone mission and to be released for free, I believe and hope that it will not cause any trouble. (GeneralBattuta stated that using BP assets is allowed, as long as no money is made, as usual with this kind of thing).
What is a BoE, or Battle of Endor?
Hoping to break through that. ;)

While I don't have much to report, I've definitely worked on this map, as well as creating several others, with each a somewhat different approach. Toughest thing is to add correct dialogue but especially to manage the end-game of the map; How to ensure the player doesn't take 10 minutes to sweep the remaining ships, that would be better off jumping out of the system, for instance. I suppose there's still much to learn to create a completely user-friendly experience.
Though i don't mind to torment players too much within the somewhat random outcomes of the battles...As long as they have fun doing so!
Will update if more changes.

Not much new to report; added a mini-FAQ for the usual questions, with links to the places how to get Freespace 2, and the SCP. The mission itself is in the freezer for now due to many hardware-related issues; gives me time to think and brainstorm, though.
I really hope to release this to the public in the future. =)
