This video sets a pictorially romanticized Beowulf into the wonderful music of Richard Wagner's great Love/Death theme from TRISTAN UND ISOLDE. The lush progression of chords and harmonies are highly suggestible - I selected the great English Romantic painter JMW Turner and his early 19th century seascapes as the background to Beowulf's personal epiphany: that he is not some dumb-hack-'em-up hunk warrior, but a profound man who is capable is learning empathy with other human beings.
