The child's first dental appointment should be around age 3, depending on his/her maturity. This is a great time to get your child acclimated to sitting in a dental chair and learning that a dental check-up is fun and rewarding. There are very few children we can't make comfortable, without the need to refer to a specialist. It makes it real convenient for the parents too, since we have multiple hygienists working, everyone can be in and out in a jiffy. In addition to looking for decay, we seek to intercept any orthodontic problems while the child is still very young.
