On the 40th anniversary of the legendary sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Toronto’s Cadence take you back to that fateful day 40 years ago (November 10, 1975) with their intensely moving and completely 100 percent ‘a cappella’ arrangement of iconic Canadian singer, songwriter Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”.

With stunning vocal sharpness and instrumental imitation, this collaborative music and video project pairs Cadence with world renowned multi-award winning Ukrainian sand animation artist Kseniya Simonova – winner of Ukraine’s Got Talent.

Together, as a tribute, they tell the tale of the 29 sailors who lost their lives on Lake Superior four decades ago.
