Stena Superfast VII goes for a trial run up out of Loch Ryan on a lovely November afternoon.
She arrived in Cairnryan for the first time earlier that morning after a voyage from the shipyard at Gdansk, where she underwent a major transformation from an overnight long distance ship to a short route one. She was previously operated by Tallink.
The work entailed removing cabins and increasing freight capacity. She and sister Stena Superfast VIII will start Stena Line's new Loch Ryan-Belfast service, bringing an end to decades of operation out of Stranraer.
