In this video I give a full in depth tour of the all new 2012 Volkswagen Passat SEL TDI. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

In my opinion, I think the Passat is a great family car.

I agree. The Passat is a perfect family sedan. My parents have a white 2012 SEL Passat

hate the taillights compared to the Euro version, hate that they took away the electronic parking brake and put that penis parking handle sticking up from the center, they took away the projectors and LEDs. they downgraded this car

+Karonball 100% Agree. People keep asking why are the US models of European cars cheaper? 1. No VAT (at least not as much as in Europe) 2. Worse build quality. I've compared three vehicles, a 1999 Passat GLS with a 1998 Passat Comfortline TDI, a 2005 BMW 530d with a 2006 BMW 545i (US) and a 1999 BMW 528i with a 1999 BMW 528i (US).

+WhiteSlift It applies to all VAG cars, also Daimler, Audi and BMW. I live in EU and i have seen few cars brouth from US...much differences in built quality.

remote start on a diesel??? how the hell? someone needs to explain how this works...
Nick Pangburn
I don't think it started instantly when he pressed the button. It warmed up the glow plugs quickly and then started I believe

+Sean Rebelo oh ok😅😅😅

+Clarence Freeman your thinking of the DEF fluid (diesel emissions fluid) that has a resevoir in the trunk the diesel fuel itself has a fill port on the side like a conventional vehicle I work on plenty old and new diesel like this. And my girlfriend had a Passat like this one as a rental when her evoque was in my shop for a transmission rebuild
