Immediate loading of implants is definitely nice but it's more risky. I like to be conservative. If you've knocked out your front tooth a lot of times we can make you a new tooth that same day. If we're taking out all your teeth and putting teeth together we can do the all-on-4 option in one day, but a lot of times if there are sick teeth in the way it's better to get those sick things out of there and then restore later. It can take a couple more months upfront but it could make it a lot more successful.

Immediate loading of implants is a wonderful thing to do but we have to know what those risks are upfront. Like most things sometimes a quick fix isn't always the best fix. In some situations an immediate loading of an implant definitely can be done and the research has shown that can be more successful. So yes I do place immediate implants but there's got to be the right circumstances. If you're a smoker or a diabetic you're probably not getting an immediate implant that day. I'll explain that to you, we want it to last a lifetime not just put an implant in there and hope it works.
