The Zika virus epidemic in Brazil and Latin America brought new light to microcephaly, an abnormal brain condition that has been linked to the virus.It is suspected that pregnant women who contract Zika have a greater chance of having babies with characteristically small heads and neurological repercussions that last a lifetime. The condition, however, is not new and can be caused by genetic as well as environmental factors. Its symptoms and severity can vary greatly.CCTV America's Paulo Cabral reported from the city of Campo Grande.
