In 2013, with EDF’s guidance and support, Walmart took a major step towards becoming a toxic-free store. They published a policy to “reduce, restrict, and eliminate” harmful chemicals from the products we use on and around our bodies every day.

And in the summer of 2016, our work with Walmart paid off: they announced that, to date, its suppliers have reduced eight high-priority chemicals by 95% (measured by weight) and other targeted chemicals by 45%!
