RubyJS brings the Ruby core classes and methods to JavaScript. It's the missing library for everyday tasks and adds a concise yet powerful library on top of the good parts of JavaScript.

This talk tells the story how a silly experiment became a full-time hobby project and finally a start-up on its own rights. I'll explain the internals that make it tick, lessons learned on writing fast JavaScript, and examples on how you can use RubyJS to stay sane coding JS.

The library is yet in stealth mode and will be released during JSCamp.

Sebastian cultivates a passionate on-and-off relationship with JavaScript. The past 5 years he neglected JS in favour of Ruby/Rails. He is working on RubyJS, a JS library that combines the good parts of JS with Ruby.
