This is the ninteenth chapter of the Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi draft playthrough, completed in 10 turns (136 total). Crazy planning went into this to ensure a fast time and allowing for my main goals of killing Narshen and collecting the Rescue staff, as well as recruiting Zeiss as needed for later. Hugh also gets recruited, although I talk him down to the minimum amount so that I can save more cash for boots. Only reason to get Hugh is for his Member's Card.
There's a lot more RNG manipulation than I would like here, but that mainly comes from having to deal with so much long range magic. Given that I have to aim for the top-left corner area to reach Zeiss, I am basically forced to send most of my paladins along the central path, leaving most of my foot units to head to the right path.
Noah finally hits L20 and promotes, turning into an instant badass compared to my other pallies. Given that I needed someone to take the boss kill, Noah takes that job happily. Sophia gets some exp feeding via the mamkute in the right chamber.
Given that Alan has the first set of boots, he takes off for the wall blocking Zeiss ASAP. I have him get into close range on turn 9 so Zeiss gets lured down, which allows Miledy to reach with room to spare.
Survival was a big issue in this chapter. I had to make some ugly looking moves to allow for dodges to occur, and I didn't deal with some enemies in the most optimal way because of this. A bunch of weapons got used up completely, mostly the last remnants of the few hand axes and javelins I was able to preserve until now. Thankfully Ch17 allows me to buy more, so I'm sure I can hold out for a little bit longer.
Oh, and Fa is pretty useless. Sometimes the AI liked to use her as a Purge/Bolting target, but more often than not Lalum or a low health unit was the more common target.
Final question I have to ask myself is which Guiding Ring user to promote first. Sophia still has the potential to be useful, so I'm leaning towards Ellen for that staff rank boost.
