Here we see some prophetic content from the 2002 film Minority Report. It shows:

- Video conferencing (before Skype and similar become popular)
- Gesture-based User Interfaces
- Predictive crime fighting (pre-crime)

The movie involves the 'Pre-Crime' police unit that addresses crimes before they are committed. The police use a gesture-based interface designed for the film by MIT's team led by John Underkoffler (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6YTQ...).

The gesture-based UIs are obviously similar to Xbox Kinect and are now being released for content consumption by companies like Leap Motion and Thalmic Labs (Myo Armband).

I find it very amusing that with all this sci-fi technology they still need to walk across the room with a huge disk to copy a few files between 2 PCs.
