The "light bicycle" featured in this 60 second Commercial was developed for an education outreach program in schools across the Northeast on Earth Days starting in 2010.
The idea of the video was to create a way to inspire the next generation of Eco-Engineers to see first-hand the difference in the wattage consumption between traditional lights and LED socket lamps. Plus the video introduces the LED Tubes.
By telling a story about innovation rather than asking people to change their behavior or focusing on too many data points, the spot hopefully encourages viewers to rethink what they may have thought about traditional lighting. In addition to challenging preconceptions about light bulbs and 4' Fluorescent Tubes vs 4' LED Tubes, this spot addresses the value of making POWER. Human power puts into context the idea that we should not take electricity for granted. So, the overall concept is to inspire homeowners and business owners across America and overseas to look into changing their lights to LED Tubes and LED socket lamps.
The LED tube technology featured in the video is Made in America with domestic and imported components to meet the Buy America standards and the UL Classification for retrofits. Independence LED's US Made LEDs go beyond the 4' LED Tube in the video and include other common length LED tube applications: 2' LED tubes, 6' LED tubes and 8' LED tubes, plus UL Listed Fixtures, such as the 2 tube vapor tight fixture. The LED tubes and multi-tube fixtures reduce electricity costs by 50% or more, and they replace fluorescent tubes and metal halide fixtures. For more information see: http://www.IndependenceLED.com
