Developing rich client application GUIs with JavaFX requires a knowledge of the JavaFX layout principles, an understanding of the capabilities of powerful components, as well as knowledge of how to apply the look and feel of your choice with style sheets (CSS). The JavaFX Scene Builder tool simplifies the discovery of these different aspects by using and manipulating the JavaFX components directly from the tool.

Topics covered in this session by members of the Scene Builder development team:
* JavaFX layout principles in action with Scene Builder
* Using the tool to manipulate and configure JavaFX advanced components such as GridPane
* CSS principles and capabilities in action
* Using the tool to visualize and troubleshoot CSS
* Using CSS styling versus API calls
