Vidyagauri Adkar gives a brilliant performance of Kathak dance to a Dhrupad song in the Dhamar Tala or cycle (14 beats) in Raga Khamaj sung by Ashish Sankrityayan with Pandit Dalchand Sharma on Pakhawaj. The sequence was filmed at Bagore Ki Haveli an 18th century palace in Udaipur Rajasthan. In the song Lord Krishna enjoins Radha to abandon her shyness and play Holi with him.
Kathak dancer Vidyagauri Adkar is a disciple of Guru Zafar Mulla of the Benares style Guru Rajendra Gangani of the Jaipur style and a member of Kathak Kendra Repertory Delhi. Ashish Sankrityayan is a Dhrupad singer of the Dagar Tradition and the Guru and Director of Dhrupad Kendra Bhopal. Pandit Dalchand Sharma is a pakhwaj exponent of the Nathadwara style.
