My beloved cousin was in one of the towers that day. I miss him dearly.

When the second plane hits and you hear the shock and horror from the newscasters, the crew and the guy on the phone has got to be one of the most chilling things I've ever heard.

I don't understand, how people can believe, that this was an inside job... Come on, when it walks like a duck, it sounds like a duck and looks like a duck... it's not a snake... and if the US gouvernment wanted to make a war, they would have had cheaper and easier ways to enforce it.

Peter Jennings is the greatest ever. How he maintained complete professionalism through this whole ordeal I'll never know.

No matter how many times I've seen the 2nd plane hit, after all these years, my blood still runs cold.

Ive watched all the major network's coverage of this and ABC's is far and away the best.

Everytime I read the reports and claims that an aircraft couldn't have brought down the tower I just laugh.  Right, because it is totally possible to predict the EXACT way in which a building will react when struck by a plane going 400mph full of passengers, luggage, and two huge rotating jet turbines. I don't care if fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel, it's an irrelevant fact, because we have no idea how fatigued steel (you know steel struck by fucking 40 tons of aluminum.) will act when an addition thousand tons of concrete and steel is sitting on top of it. The way in which the towers collapsed is absolutely sensible. Simulators cannot replicate this sort of event, I am sorry we just don't have that technology. There are so many random variables that could contribute to a collapse that it is physically impossible for us to even speculate at the fact that a building wouldn't collapse under these conditions.

Out of watching coverages of all of the Broadcast networks and CNN, Peter Jennings and ABC News had the BEST coverage. Very detailed, calm and thorough. R.I.P. Peter.
