@ayethereztherub 1.The insurance company should be mandated, they have crapped on us enough. 2. Under the new health care reform you can KEEP your private insurance that you have now, you don't have to switch to the government run health insurance. 3. The costs is irrelevant to life, it's not just people with "poor heath choices" that get sick. It's the middle class who is not poor enough to qualify for assistance, but not rich enough to pay for HC that suffer. Healthy people can get cancer too.

in England, people pay tax every month, so that every one can have free healthcare. why isn't that the case in america?

I don't understand all the opposition to this bill. It's designed to HELP people. The problem is that it didn't go far enough. We need universal healthcare in this country!
Timmy Bone
It's like making people who don't drive pay into a universal car insurance that everyone is forced to have.
@shaithis80 See it doesn't have to cost $30K to have a baby. The bulk of that cost is to cover malpractice that is built into what insurance pays. If we had a free market, you'd be able to say, "Look, I can pay $10K and you have an empty delivery room. Do you want to make some money today or do I go somewhere else." The 10th Amendment is key, we just need a President that appreciates it, and the people to force the Congress to return power to the states.
@shaithis80 That is what the founders intended. Washington state is a union state. If Boeing wants to move a plant to a Right to Work state like SC, they should. If they can't find the workers they will fail, if the can they will succeed. Then the states will figure out if Right to Work or forced unionization is the right way to go. But instead we have a Federal gov't and NLRB screwing with the free market to protect a failed union model. Øbama 2012: Blame You Can Believe In.
