Edit: 7/15/2012 I won Best in Show! And I was actually there to see it! It was the most amazing thing ever. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me, and thank you to everyone who came up to me afterwards to say congratulations. You guys are awesome. Seriously. I love you all!

Edit: 7/1/12 I'm officially a finalist! =D Thanks so much for all the love, guys. ^_^ I'm going to be at the convention this year, so see you all there. :3 Come say hi if you see me, I'm a shy person but I don't bite. I'll most likely be in a Katara cosplay.

This is my entry for the Connecticon 2012 FMV contest. I know I don't normally post convention videos before they debut (or until I find out I didn't make the finals), but since the Korra finale is airing in two weeks, which is before the convention, I feel like it would be silly not to post this video now, because in a few weeks so much more is going to happen! Of course CTcon isn't until mid-July, but the deadline was yesterday, so this only goes up through episode 9. I'll keep everyone updated as to whether or not I'm a finalist.

Anyway, I thought this song was a perfect fit for The Legend of Korra because it's creepy and dark, and fits in well with the mood of LoK. It really shows the discrepancy between what we want to believe and the reality of life, and has this nightmarish quality to the music. It was also very well suited for both slow and action scenes. Plus, the song is from the Suckerpunch soundtrack, and Suckerpunch was about girls kicking butt, which Korra is great at! =D

But enough rambling--enjoy!

Series: The Legend of Korra
Song: Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)
Artist: Emily Browning

My first ever Korra amv. Yes I'm late to the party, but I'm glad. I just witnessed one of the best amvs I've ever seen. Subscribed!
Amazing!! I've been whatching you videos and you have talent to make AMV´s. I love your work :D Keep going like that!! PS: Could you please make a tutorial of how you do the effects? I use the same program as you for my videos, and I've been trying to do a few interesting things but I don't quite catch it.
Same here!
When I saw this at Connecticon I hadn't seen LoK. I still couldn't tear my eyes away, even if it left me with the feeling that I had seen something I shouldn't have, spoiler-wise. (Interestingly, having seen the show I can now see that it does not include the finale.) Still superb the second time around!

This is AMAZING. The timing is astounding, and the end, with the title theme? Perfect touch. I've never seen someone utilize that, until now. You have some serious talent for editing!
Valerie Skelton
You're really good at making amvs!!
