I have worked a lifetime trying to capture the essence of The Crescent City in videos like:
"I Am New Orleans" "Louisiana Lady" "Gris-Gris on the other team" "Cajun Christmas" "Mardi Gras Time" "Second Line Shake"
In our stage show, in addition to presenting original music, I have tried to bring attention to classic songs arranged in my own way. In the release of "Wonderful World," I expose younger people to the melody and harmony of an oldie" song BUT presented in a modern dance version hopefully palatable to that generation.
The video showcases to the world... our wonderful world, New Orleans.
Make no mistake: I'm the guy that wrote "I Am New Orleans" and "I Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans." And I do truly love New Orleans. Perhaps, that's why I want to tell the World "What a Wonderful World" New Orleans is.
Come with me on a journey from the the swamps that surround "The City That Care Forgot" to that Fantasy Land known as "The Big Easy." It has taken me and Director/Producer Ed "Doc" Loftus on a decade long journey to complete this. We are so happy with the video that we released a new CD: "Vince Vance presents Wonderful World: a 2 disc musical history of the Valiantettes." (my girl singer trio)
It is available at vincevance.biz and has this video and 30+ songs AND a fold-out poster of me and most of the girls who have made this 4 decade journey with me!
I must recognize Tiffany Genzer AKA Vince Anne Valiantette, my stellar lead vocalist. She poured her heart and soul into this one.
I must also recognize Amber Lee Duke who introduced me to modern dance music and our friend Holly Brown Kern who asked if I could write a modern version of "What a Wonderful World." I did. Then I re-did it and then re-did it again and then shot the video. Now, come with me and enjoy this Wonderful World of New Orleans with me. -Vince Vance
