The British Postal Museum & Archive (BPMA), with support from The PRISM (Preservation of Industrial and Scientific Material) fund, administered by Arts Council England, and the AiM Pilgrim Trust Conservation Grant Scheme, and the involvement of volunteers and conservators, has been working on a project to conserve two Mail Rail trains.
Mail Rail was an underground railway built by the Post Office under the streets of London. It ran between Paddington Station and Whitechapel, and was in use from 1927-2003.
