The Mythical Flood of Noah is a recast of the Mythical Mesopotamian (Sumerian) Shuruppak flood of circa 2900 BC. The Flood hero's boat grounded at Kur Nisir (Mount Nisir), at this location he was granted immortality by the gods for having saved the seed of mankind and animal-kind for a new post-flood beginning and he and his wife were placed "in the land of Dilmun afar at the mouth of the rivers where the sun rises."
