We take a trip with Reserve Manager Dave Paynter to the Duck Decoy hut, where we look at the tracked birds’ migration map. This map shows us where some of WWT Slimbridge’s migratory birds including the Bewick’s swans are heading, as they leave us this spring for their breeding grounds.
But it’s not all about birds leaving us… find out which of our early spring visitors will be returning to our wetlands too.
Finally, there’s an update from Kerry, our Living Wetland Theatre Present Trainer, on the amazing adaptations of magpie geese. The Living Wetland Theatre will open in summer 2020 and will feature films or interactive lives shows designed to bring our exciting wetland conservation work to life.
