"A DANCE AGAIN for Lee Connor and the Danzantes" is from Larry's book FIRECRACKER SOUP (Cinco Puntos). In the mid-1980s dancer Lee Connor and his partner the dancer Lorn MacDougal built a house down the lane from Larry and Lenore (painter and photographer) Goodell in Placitas, NM. Larry wrote this poem for Lee and his group The Danzantes, and Larry and Lee performed a collaboration of the poem with dance at the Kimo Theatre in downtown Albuquerque sometime around 1985. Lee died in September 1987 of AIDS. This performance was videoed at Larry's house in Placitas on June 16 2008.
