Sydney Leroux entered the game in the second half and quickly increased the goal count for the U.S. Here she outruns a defender and finished with a well placed shot that hits the back of the net.

We'd have to actually play an island first. Costa Rica is in Central America. Yay public education.

This video is about Sydney Leroux not the men's team. Great goal by Syd. USA!

Same old argument that has been made a thousand times. How many gold medals? How many WC championship wins? That's right the USWNT just won their 3rd straight gold medal at the Olympics. And your argument is starting to get old, but winning never does.

It may be true...for now. But that view only tries to take away their accomplishments. Why can't people just say, 'congrats on winning' instead of always bringing this position up? The fact that the women are and have stayed #1 as competition increases is no accident. It's the same for people bringing up the lack of winning with the USMNT, 'sure there's a lot of competition in the men's game but they can't hack it'. The USWNT wins gold medals and the USMNT has yet to prove themselves.
