Russia has received a stack of bad press over its human rights record. The recent amnesty of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Pussy Riot, the Arctic 30 and 20,000 other prisoners has been slammed as a nothing more than a publicity stunt ahead of the Sochi Olympics. But is the picture really so bleak? Could it signal a shift towards a stronger civil society with greater respect for the rights of its citizens? To examine these issues, Oksana is joined by Tanya Lokshina, the Russia Program Director of Human Rights Watch.
