Dog bites anchor woman. She is recovering from her injuries. Hopefully the dog (Maximus "Max" Gladiator) won't be put down. He was rescued by some great people. Always be careful around animals and treat them with respect.

Please show your support for Max!

"TV anchor was hospitalized on Wednesday after being bitten in the face by a dog. The accident took place, live, during the presentation of her program. She had to undergo reconstructive surgery of the face.

The dog (whose full name is Maximus Gladiator) had been rescued from the icy waters of Smith Reservoir, in Denver (USA), by a firefighter on the afternoon of Tuesday.

As the conversation (live interview) progressed, the anchor woman stroked Max, who responded to the affection with licks. Then, unexpectedly, bit her face. The anchor of the program along with Kyle, said that before entering the air, the dog spent 45 minutes with all the TV crew and did not cause any problems.

After the incident in the television studio, Max was taken to the Animal Center of Denver where he will be quarantined for 10 days to undergo tests. If all is well, Max will be returned to the owner."
