First try to exploit my time to make a savonius generator.
It is a 5,5Kw 3 fase AC motor with neodimium magnets added to his axis, but is too much generator for a low power blades. The generator gives 15VAC and 60 amperes (900W) at 100 RPM, but the blades cannot get more than 50RPM with good wind and full charge, in this case, the generated power rounds 200W/h, that power is about 40% of the electrical consumption of my house (if we would have good wind 24 hours/day/month).
I recommend to every people that want to buy a wind generator, to take a look to the medium speed wind of your zone and compare it with the power that your wind generator gives at that wind speed, the manufacturers only gives you the power rate at max wind, and that power decreases ^1/2 when the wind speed decreases 1/2. Un primer intento para aprovechar el tiempo, una turbina eolica savonius sobre un motor AC trifasico con imanes de neodimio instalados en el inducido. Entrega 15VAC y 60 amperios (900W) a 100RPM, el generador esta muy sobredimensionado comparandolo con la potencia que pueden entregar las aspas, por su diseño tan abierto las aspas no pasan de 50 RPM con buen viento y a plena carga, entrega 200 vatios/hora a 50 RPM, lo que seria el 40% del consumo electrico medio de mi casa (suponiendo que tuvieramos buen viento 24h al dia todos los dias).
Para todos aquellos que piensen en comprarse un generador eòlico os recomiendo que le hecheis un vistazo a la velocidad media del viento en vuestra zona y la compareis con la potencia nominal del aparato, los fabricantes solo te informan de la potencia màxima del aparato, lo que no cuentan es que cuando la velocidad del viento disminuye a la mitad, no tienes la mitad de potencia sino la raìz de 2.
