Yeah, it's about the 5th "again" but hopefully I've eliminated all of the leaks this time.

fans are useless inside the tank

by saying that it is worse than air cooling, he means that it works slower. if he was to install a water cooling system based radiator and an oil-safe pump to pull the oil through, it would work fine. i might do this to my htpc with an ssd in a fish tank. i will put it in a corner of a large fish tank and go about sectioning that corner off, then once it is tested to be water/oil tight, i will put the pc in the oil bath and then fill the other side with water and add exotic fish.

It has been said you had a problem with oil corrosion, can you explain?

Is it worse than air cooling? How can it be possible?

@MassacrMan hehe, pretty much. You just have to realize that exotic cooling systems are not inherently better than air cooling. The only thing that makes water better than air is that you can move the heat away from the CPU and run it through a huge radiator. Since you can buy a bigger radiator than you can a heatsink, water cooling has the capacity to remove more heat. But it was fun to make ;)

@MassacrMan It's actually not too bad, just have to pull the tray out of the oil and wait for a bit so the oil has a chance to drip away.
legoman666
@MassacrMan Not really. In fact, it's worse than air or water cooling.

that has to be the most stupid design i ever seen... not only is there a chance of frying your computer if something bad happens that you dont realize... but if you break the glass in any way shape or form all the water will leak... this is a perfect example of going overboard... :S
