Released on the 1962 album, "Encore Of Broadway Golden Hits". Although Tony Williams had left the Platters by this time, the master of this recording was sent to him and he overdubbed the lead vocal to create a new Platters recording with his lead. He did this for several tracks on the album. The song comes from the musical, "Knickerbocker Holiday". It was originally a hit for Walter Huston in 1939. In early 1947, it charted at #11 Pop for the Dardanelle Trio. Other chart entries: #14 R&B for the Don Byas Quartet in 1948, #17 Pop for Stan Kenton and His Orchestra in 1951, #27 Pop for Liberace in 1952, #51 Billboard Hot 100 for Jimmy Durante in 1963 (#13 Adult Contemporary), Bubbling Under the Hot 100 at #103 for Roy Clark in 1969 (#12 AC, #40 Country), #15 Country for Willie Nelson in 1979 and #51 UK for Ian McCulloch in early 1985.

Written by Kurt Weill & Maxwell Anderson.
