Uganda welcomed us in its markets, its schools, with its "natural massage" on country roads and in the smiles of the people we encountered along the way...
The journey took us from school garden projects to Ankole cattle keepers to small Kisansa coffee growing communities. From the bustling capital Kampala we went to the town of Mbale, home of arabica coffee plantations and the stunning Sipi Waterfalls. We ate grilled bananas from street vendors, had a Ugandan feast prepared for us by the wandering women chefs of the Dembe troupe and learned the secrets of Matoke, the national dish of steamed plantains. Uganda welcomed us in an unforgettable way!
