Before we begin, I would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my life, and all the gifts which I've been given in it, including the ability to make this extension. Your name be glorified, my Savior, even in something as small as this. Amen.

Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies sees casts you in the role of Mobius 1, a pilot tapped to fly for the Independent Allied State Forces. The ISAF are under siege from the Federal Republic of Erusea; the rapidity of their advance, bolstered by the incomparable power of Stonehenge, an anti-asteroid weapon which is equally effective at shooting down enemy aircraft, has allowed the Eruseans to push the ISAF to the brink of annihilation. As Mobius 1, your actions will determine whether the fledgling coalition survives, or is utterly defeated... no pressure!

Composed by Tetsukazu Nakanishi, 'Farbanti' is the capital city of the Federal Republic of Erusea -- and also the theme of stage x, where you, the player, play a central role in "Operation: Autumn Thunder", a tactical strike headed by the ISAF with the intention of ending the Usean Continental War once and for all by capturing Erusea's General Headquarters. You've come this far, Mobius 1... don't let up now! Fly on, for everlasting peace!

This was a fun stage. Farbanti is one of the cities most visibly devastated by the Ulysses asteroid; in fact, as you play the stage, you even see a massive impact crater close to the center of the city, filled with water. Appropriately, the stage theme is fun as well; tense, a bit dramatic, but uplifting as well. The war is nearly over, and your side, the beleaguered ISAF defenders once pushed to the brink by Erusea, stand on the cusp of victory!

Fun Fact: In an interview, Tetsukazu Nakanishi stated that Farbanti was his favorite composition, out of all in the Shattered Skies OST. Can't say as I blame him! It's nifty.

Just two extensions left for today's AET2k release! Coming up next, we have "Fortress" from Ace Combat 5; after that, it's an incredible theme from the curiously named B'T X series. I hope you'll enjoy! Take care, and God bless.

You know, it's sad, but I didn't even realize I'd shot down Yellow 13 until after the stage was over. Kind of an anti-climactic end for a reasonably interesting enemy ace... or did I just clip his wings too quickly for interesting dialogue to trigger?
