The death toll in Haiti could climb by another 6,000 a missionary from Perrysburg said Friday after spending 2.5 weeks in the earthquake ravaged region.

Between 4,000 - 6,000 prisoners locked up in Haiti could be staving to death, said Dr. Jay Nielsen, who works with Missions International of America.

The prisoners are in Les Cayes, a seaport in southwestern Haiti and about 100 kilometers from Port-au-Prince.
