This taxi driver was less than perfect. I first saw him blocking the bicycle lane and he said something to a cyclist that was trying to filter past him, what it was, i do not know. Shortly after that he passed two cyclists at a distance which I would call too close. Further down the road he is stuck in traffic and i filter past him, i notice him coming up behind me quite quickly and he undertakes a van only to get stuck at some traffic lights. Further down that section of road and i'm riding in the bus lane at +23mph, the bus lane is about to narrow and there is not enough space for a cyclist and a taxi to be in the same lane. Just before he overtakes I point to the other lane to show him where he should be passing me. The driver does not complete an overtake and starts slowing and turning into the lane i am in. Even when i'm freewheeling i am easily going up the inside of the taxi and I bash his bodywork a few times with my flat hand to let him know I am there. He dislikes this and squashes me towards the kerb, forcing me to brake suddenly to avoid coming off. The driver then gets out of his vehicle and has a few words with me, but i think he shows just what his attitude is like. We passed each other several times over the next few miles with no issues and nothing said, we split ways at Clapham Common South Station where he took a turning off. No rear camera today due to taking my other bike in for a service and being lazy about swapping over the mounts.
