The North American B-25 Mitchell was named in honor of General Billy Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation. It was a 2 - engines medium bomber .
This B-25 during WW II flying out of Corsica ( an island in the Mediterranean sea). It took 29 years to restore the plane for flying condition. Finally the project was completed in 2009.
