Did you forget your windows password and now don't know what do do? This is very frustrating, I know, but there is a way to Reset windows password. I discovered a very simple way. You will need a computer with one special resetting software and CD, DVD or USB key. You choose. This method will work on following versions of windows: Windows 2000 / NT, Windows XP, Windows vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit),Windows 8 (32 and 64 bit).
So as you can see, forgotten password is no longer a problem.
Ready to reset your windows password? Let's get started!
1. We will start by visiting the official page (link above) and downloading Reset Password Pro installer. This is very simple looking, yet vey powerful program, which will gain us an access to a locked computer. Once we download the installer, it's time to run a setup and install the Reset Password Pro on our computer. Please note that internet connection is required during an install. Done? Great, we are one step closer to resetting a windows password.
2. Now we will choose one from three devices (CD, DVD, or USB key) and prepare our resetting tools. Very important - all media should be empty, the USB key needs to be formatted. I recommend to choose DVD. Now follow the burning process as shown in the video, it will take only a minute or two. This is the easiest part. Now let's approach the locked computer and start resetting a windows password.
3. start or restart computer, as soon as we see the logo screen, press delete or F4. That will take us into BIOS. Go to boot, under booting devices, choose following: DVD-ROM (for DVD or CD) or USB storage. If you don't have an option for USB, create one! Complicated? By choosing DVD or CD in step 2. we can avoid this step. Alright, bear with me, we are almost there. Now we will save the changes already made in BIOS, insert resetting device, made in step 2 and restart computer. The Reset Password Pro will load an user interface for resetting a windows password. Now just select the account you want and click "Reset". Well done, you can now access your computer. And don't put your DVD/CD/USB too far away, you never know when there will be a need to reset another windows password. :-)
This is in my opinion the fastest and easiest way to reset any forgotten windows password. If you know a faster way, please leave a comment.
