Heh, yeah the military is a large social program, paid for by taxes. So no socialized medicine to save lives in the country, but for the army to protect the country its different somehow? Not saying socialized medicine would work, just sayin'.
Whateveristan is lovely this time of year.
It is amazing how Republicans bash keynesianism, then go and spout keynsianism to excuse themselves to infalte military expenditures...
Hmmmm, I cant find Whatever-istan on the map...
Yeah, even the Nazis couldn't get the Italians to care about anything but pasta, wine, cheese & art :)
Yeah, it REALLY creeps me out that the Republicants are so bold with their anti-humanist pro-Abrahamist gibberish that they seem unconcerned with the public's sentiment regarding their bizarre - & universally CONServative - attitudes & ideas. They ACT like they're gonna win no matter what. When they do, the UN steps in to investigate the voting fraud and all Hell breaks loose...

"Take equipment from home but take provisions from the enemy. (...) When goods are expensive, the citizens' wealth will be exhausted. When their wealth is exhausted, the peasantry will be afflicted with increased taxes. (...)Therefore, a wise general will strive to feed off the enemy. (...) Replace the enemy's flags and standards with our own." Sun Tzu, "Art of War" Chap 2
