NTFP-EP Asia Regional Meeting January 2017: Dancers from the Jharkhand indigenous community, Bhumij, present their traditional dance Firkal. Firkal is a folk-dance of showing the strength of the Bhumij against all odds. This dance evolved in the forest and depicts the dangers that they faced, both from humans and wild animals, and overcame. The dance is male oriented and is a martial art form. The dancers use sticks, swords and shields, and bow and arrows. #folkdance#indianculture
