The colorful and witty collage portraits of Israeli artist Hanoch Piven have appeared in most major magazines and newspapers such as Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone and in many European publications from The London Times to the Swiss Die WeltWoche. In Israel, Piven has gained visibility due to his long time collaboration with the daily Haaretz and through his TV shows for young children. Piven's art is about communicating through fun and playfulness by reinventing the meaning of regular objects. Piven has been conducting workshops internationally for the last 10 years employing the principles of his own collage technique using common objects to stimulate play, creativity and communication.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
